Restoration – Stage Three

Down to bare metal.

The body tub was taken off the chassis as it had to be totally stripped back for sandblasting.

We jet washed the chassis to get years of grease off so we could find all the nuts and bolts.

The engine and axles were next to come out.

The bare frame of the Jeep now showed how rusty it was.

The chassis came back from sandblasting and powder coating and it showed up all the previous repairs, damage caused by corrosion and imperfections.

The chassis had to have numerous repairs and replacement panels but while keeping as much of the original metal as possible.

The chassis was primed and painted.

The axles were reattached making the chassis mobile again.
